Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Final Assembly Technician to join our Production Team. This role is responsible for the final build, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation of complex electro-mechanical medical systems. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, safety-minded, and comfortable working with both electrical and mechanical assemblies in a regulated manufacturing environment.

The Ideal Candidate Has
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in electro-mechanical assembly, integration, testing, and troubleshooting (medical device experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of AC and DC circuits and safe measurement practices (experience with 208/480 VAC is highly preferred).
  • Proficiency using electrical measurement tools, including multimeter, power supplies, and basic test equipment.
  • Ability to read and follow schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and work instructions.
  • Solid mechanical aptitude: alignment, hardware installation, torque practices, fit-up, and general assembly best practices.
  • Understanding of GMP / Good Manufacturing Practices, quality systems, and controlled documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills (root cause thinking, methodical diagnostics, clear documentation).
  • X-ray tube / high-voltage system knowledge is a plus (handling, integration, safety awareness).
  • Comfortable working in an ERP/MRP environment and completing work orders, travelers, and device history documentation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work around machinery, tools, and production equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform final assembly and integration of medical imaging systems and subassemblies to engineering and quality requirements.
  • Execute functional tests, calibrations, and verification checks per procedures and work instructions.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using structured diagnostic methods and test equipment.
  • Verify proper wiring, grounding, cable routing, connector integrity, and system safety checks.
  • Document build steps, test results, and inspections in work orders, travelers, and DHR (Device History Records).
  • Identify and report nonconforming material and support MRB/CAPA activities by providing clear technical findings.
  • Support engineering builds/prototypes as needed and assist with transitioning prototypes into repeatable production processes.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all required safety procedures (including ESD, LOTO, and cleaning checklists).
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to reduce defects, improve throughput, and strengthen documentation quality.

Work Environment
This position is primarily based in a production environment that may include noise, equipment, and occasional chemical involvement. Work is performed in an air-conditioned facility with required safety and regulatory compliance.
